Privacy

In short
This site itself sets no cookies, uses no analytics and no advertising, and asks you for no information. There are no accounts and no forms. Two things to know: if you click FR or EN, that language choice is saved in your browser; and if you play a video, your browser connects to YouTube, which may store and read information on your device.
Data controller
INSIDE MUSIC, SARL, 25 rue du Faubourg Poissonnière, 75009 Paris, France. For any question, or to exercise your rights: contact@insidemusic.com.
Your language choice
If you click FR or EN, that choice is saved in your browser (local storage, value “fr” or “en”) so that the right version is shown on your next visit. Until you choose, the version shown follows your browser's language. This information stays on your device: it is not sent to us and is used for nothing else. It is kept until you delete it, by clearing this site's data in your browser.
YouTube videos
The videos are hosted by YouTube. As long as you do not click a thumbnail, no data is sent to YouTube.
When you play a video, your browser connects to YouTube (a Google service; for the European Economic Area: Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland), which receives your IP address and technical information, and may store and read information on your device. Google uses them for its own purposes and under its own responsibility: to run and secure the player, to measure its use and, where applicable, to show ads (non-personalised, according to Google, in the embedding mode used here).
Starting the player counts as your consent to this connection and to this storage. If you do not want this, do not start it: the same videos are available directly on YouTube. You can withdraw this consent at any time, for the future: reload the page, then clear the site data for youtube-nocookie.com in your browser. Google Privacy Policy.
Hosting
The site is hosted by GitHub, Inc. (GitHub Pages). Like any host, GitHub receives visitors' IP addresses and logs them for security purposes. This processing is based on legitimate interests: ours in putting the site online, and GitHub's in protecting its service. We have no access to these logs and do not use them. GitHub does not state a specific retention period for these logs: it depends on that security purpose and on GitHub's legal obligations.
GitHub, Inc. is based in the United States, so visitors' IP addresses are transferred there. This transfer is covered by the Data Privacy Framework, in which GitHub participates (European Commission adequacy decision of 10 July 2023). GitHub Privacy Statement.
Links to other sites
Links to streaming platforms, social networks and press articles lead to sites that apply their own privacy policies. No order is placed on this site: the vinyl is ordered on the Miniwax site or on Bandcamp, which collect the order and payment data themselves.
When you write to us
If you write to one of the addresses shown on the site (lagosinparis@gmail.com for bookings and press, contact@insidemusic.com for the label), we use your address and your message only to reply to you and to follow up on our exchanges. This processing is based on our legitimate interest in answering the requests we receive.
These messages are read by the people at the label and in the collective who are in charge of answering them, and are hosted by our email providers (Google for the Gmail address). Google may store these messages on servers outside the European Union, notably in the United States, with the safeguards described in its privacy policy. They are kept for as long as it takes to handle your request, then for no more than three years after our last exchange. We do not use them to send you advertising.
Your rights
You can access the data we hold about you, have it corrected or erased, ask us to restrict its processing or object to that processing, by writing to contact@insidemusic.com. We reply as soon as possible, and no later than one month after receiving your request.
Playing a YouTube video is based on your consent: you can withdraw it at any time, as explained under “YouTube videos”. Under French law, you can also give instructions about what happens to your data after your death.
If, after contacting us, you believe your rights have not been respected, you can lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority (CNIL): cnil.fr (online form, in French).
